Bartenders
A ski resort in northern Sweden
I work at MAP Maison and was previously at Purl London
Cellar Door on the Strand, excellent cocktails and one of a kind entertainment. Go and see for yourself!
Nothing beats a good Brooklyn.
Hmm maybe that time when I peeled off my fingertip while making an orange zest, yes the whole tip, nail and everything. Never seen so much blood behind the bar, took forever to clean up the mess and to find the lost pieces.
No, still waiting for the perfect time and place, meaning preferably not on my own bar due to the risk of getting fired :p
If me and my best mate don't open up a pop up speak easy in the ski resort we are from any time soon Purl still makes my barheart beat faster.
The best ( mostly because it worked) must have been when I was working in a cocktail bar in Stockholm: A man comes up to me and say: Hi, do you want to come with me to Prague? It was such weird request that it caught my attention, he ended up being my boyfriend for a year and we also did go to Prague :) In terms of the worst I've heard everything between heaven and earth.
I´m keeping my secrets to myself :)
To celebrate the weather, at the moment of writing, i´d do something fresh and summery. How about? 40 ml of a blanco rum 15ml of Grand Marnier 10ml of lemon juice A couple of mint leaves And two healthy barspoons of Cloudberry marmalade. What is this you might wonder? It´s a swedish berry that grows wild in the mountains with a magical taste. Can be a little tricky to find in the UK but if everything else fails try good old IKEA. Finally, shake it very hard and serve it in a coupette. My greatest weakness has always been naming cocktails, so I´m gonna wait for the best and hope that a name idea pops up in my head.
With gin! Very dry with a twist
Since I was 14, a bartender was the only thing I wanted to be.. and honestly it was more the knowledge of how to blend spirits rather then the drinking itself that intrigued me..appreciating the taste of alcohol came much later..
