When cocktail power couple Bobby Hiddleston and Mia Johansson (of Dead Rabbit fame) announced they were teaming up with Rosie Stimpson and Edmund Weil (AKA Nightjar & Oriole legends) to open a bar in Soho, we knew to expect great things.
Tucked down the Tottenham Court Road end of Old Compton Street, opposite the awesome Bar Termini, you'll find Swift. And you can bet it’s gonna be busy. It’s an upstairs/downstairs thing here: upstairs you can just cruise in anytime, they've gone casual aperitivo atmosphere and light and long on the drinks. Downstairs gets a little darker, a lot sexier and they have a piano which sets a suitably Soho tone. The drinks get heavier too - their whisky collection is off the hook with over 250 to choose from. Settle in, you won't be leaving here anytime soon.
Attention is on slick service and killer drinks, pronto, so don’t come expecting the garnish game the Nightjar/Oriole crew are famous for. But when drinks taste this good who needs a cherry on the top? Less Instagram, more get a dram. Damn straight.
