Welcome to Narnia - or as close as you’re gonna get to it in this part of town. It’s surrealist chic with eclectic decor, mismatched furniture and vintage light fittings, and the bathrooms are plastered with a mural of '80s-style old-school cassettes. Rookies will think Callooh Callay is just one bar, but be sure to stumble through the mirrored wardrobe and you’ll find not one, but two more rooms perfect for holding court amongst the weekend party crowd.

Looking for a quiet(ish) one? Stick to the mid-week, when there’s a bit more breathing room and a more discerning set. While Callooh Callay knows how to bring the party with DJs, light swinging and epic good times, they don’t compromise the quality of their drinks. They’re kinda world famous for them. They also offer some pretty decent food options too; think sliders, stacks and boards. 

Play your cards right and you could be invited up to the Jubjub Bar. Hidden behind a curtain (in the bar hidden behind the wardrobe, got that?) is the stairway to cocktail heaven, but you’re gonna need the door code to enter - it’s invite-only! Jubjub is a Shoreditch hideaway with table service as standard and a 10-drink cocktail list that changes every three weeks, so you’ll never get bored.
