Having a rooftop bar on the top of BarChick’s hotel was always going to be dangerous, especially one that is open from 9.30am until midnight everyday! By day the Sky Bar Avalon is the place to chill, top up the tan and sip a cooling drink listening to some laid back pool beats.

Get there early if you want to grab a bed, they get snapped up pretty quickly on sunny days! Once you get one it’s hard to move for the rest of the day so don’t bother, you got all you need right here.

With all its wooden decking and slick finish you could be in Miami, there’s even a removable roof in case it decides to rain. Although there isn’t a sea view, you have yourself an infinity pool to make up for it, and the skyline here is great, you can even see Barcelona’s answer to the Gherkin if you look hard enough (Gherkin slash shlong if you ask us).

The cocktail list is on the short side so stick to beer and wine or in BarChick’s case, push the boat out and settle for nothing less than Champagne, it’s that kind of place. The crowd is a mixed bag, hotel guests mostly so there may be kids but that’s fine, let them play in the pool whilst you sit back and get trashed.
