High on top of Le Gray, Beirut's most luxurious boutique hotel, Cherry on the Roof is a pretty special place for a drink. Situated above Martyr's Square, home to the Cedar Revolution in 2005 which over the course of two weekends saw almost three million Lebanese (there are only 4 million in the entire country) take to the street, Cherry on the Roof lifts you high above the mayhem of this wonderful city (and paints you in a pink hue at night).

Aside from some of the best cocktails in town, the main draw of the bar is the incredible infinity pool which appears to merge seamlessly into the Mediterranean behind. Put on your hottest cut away swimsuit and drape yourself on a sun lounger, cocktail in hand. In the summer, with a DJ outside, the pink-tinged mountains in the background and Beirut spread out below, it’s pretty surreal. BarChick’s Lebanese heaven, we’ll be back.
