While most of Gemmayze is aimed at the hard-core drinkers, (it’s laden with dive bars for the beer and tequila crowd), Dragonfly is a sweet little cocktail joint fresh from Paris in the 1920s. Walking in amongst the sounds of old-school jazz, you kinda expect to see Hemmingway and Fitzgerald at the bar. Small and intimate with wooden furniture and ornate mirrors, Dragonfly has a long and impressive cocktail list (arguably the best in the city). BarChick sank a few of their cocktail of the week, which on our visit was the Aromatic Smash, then knocked back some damn tasty Mojitos which were a refreshing break from the hot sun.

The bartenders dress like old-school barbers adding to the air of French nostalgia and, even without the happy hour from 7pm – 9pm it doesn't break the bank. Whether you're heading for a few cocktails before the night gets messy, or looking for a chilled out spot to take a date, Dragonfly is a sure fire winner.
