It’s no secret that BarChick likes to get her South American freak on, and in this Bodega that she did. The bar is bright, funky and super happy, it’s more than just the tequila that will make you smile in here. Hang out amongst bright blue walls, retro seating, bare bulbs, cacti and panoramas that will transport you right out of Birmingham and straight to Rio. Well kinda.

The food menu ranges from Mexican and Brazilian, to Peruvian and Colombian, so if you’re looking for a well-rounded experience, this is the place. We got stuck into seafood tacos and moqueca and washed it down with some of their fine, fine drinks. Their Pisco Sours are the best in Birmingham and we had a lotta love for their rum Old Fashioneds.

If you feel like taking things up a level then climb on down to the Sugarloaf Bar, come the end of the week it’s Los Dias de los Muertos most days (Wed – Sat, people). This bar is pumpin’ and is the place to get your tequila and lucha libre freak on, well maybe just the mask, you don’t wanna get kicked out and miss all this fun.
