Weave your way down a small alleyway and find this tiny no frills cocktail bar behind a humble looking shop. This place has banging drinks deals so naturally it attracts the hot young things of Brighton’s student scene, but don’t let that dishearten you.
BarChick likes to pop in here when she’s supposed to be running errands, the cocktails are affordable and you can very quickly go large without even trying. It’s kind of like hanging out at a mates’ house, only with a better booze selection.
When it comes to décor the clue's in the title, you’ll feel like you’re in a massive citrus fruit, with low ceilings. Located in the very old part of town in the South Lanes, where all the houses probably once belonged to fishermen.
Hit this place for happy hour and get involved with the monstrous gourmet burger. We went for gold with the Black Forest Gateau Martini (Brighton’s local liquor, tuaca, Cointreau, cherry liquor, Mozart dark choc liquor) served straight up in a cocoa rimmed Martini glass with a cream float, take us back.
