Head straight up to the 9th floor of this five (ish) star hotel. There’s an awesome view of Ho Chi Minh City’s skyline and on a good day an awesome breeze which is needed in this city. It looks a little dated during the day, but at night it comes into its own, and with a view this good it’s easy to see past the interior.

Just sit back and embrace the retro feels - as they say on their website 'Way before sky bars, craft beer and social media became ‘things’, drinks flowed uninterrupted at Saigon Saigon Rooftop Bar from the very first moment the hotel opened way back in 1959.' And okay, the people may have changed but the decor hasn't - but it's all a bit of history, right?

The bar opens at 11am, but on weekdays it’s pretty dead until the evening, which can be quite nice if you’re a big party. There’s live music, lots of liquor and a good vibe at night. BarChick went for a classy combination of champagne and shots, but they have beers on tap, lots of vodka on the bar and free snacks with your drinks. Sure, it’s not going to change your life, but it’s a good place to know about where you can bring anyone, anytime, and the lovely ladies here will be sure to look after you.
