Modern Irish Hospitality lands in Battersea

Bad-ass neighbourhood Irish bar Homeboy has done something many North Londoners wouldn't even dream of doing. That's right. They've moved south of the river.

It may have only been open a few weeks, but Ciaran & Aaron (possibly the nicest lads in the biz?) have been packed out daily. This second joint has all the buzz of a night in Temple Bar, created by an 85-seated heated terrace that wraps around the front like a big bear hug. Good news for those craving pints of the black stuff ("the best in London") while internal drinking is off the cards. When restrictions are relaxed, they'll be able to fit another 140 of ya inside. We'd love to see the storage for all those barrels they're gonna get through on the daily.

If Guinness ain't your drink, they have 150 bottles of Irish Whiskey chilling on their back bar, and plenty of the usual suspects on the cocktail menu. Their Irish Coffee is as epic as we remember, though we'd definitely recommend upgrading to their premium Pot Still Irish Coffee made with Redbreast 12 and Belfast Coffee with cold brew and Bán Poitín, AKA Irish Coffee on craic. They also have a smashing Irish IPA from Cork on tap, and we can confirm that the three-cheese toasty has travelled exceptionally well on the journey over the water.
