If you only get one drink in Rome, make it here. Headed up by supercool mixer Leonardo Leuci, one of his partners is Antonio Parlapiano, whose name actually means "speakeasy" in Italian – no joke.

Inside it’s a dark and brooding twenties time warp: stuffed sofas, barmen in garter sleeves and ragtime music. As a "club" you can still smoke inside, just like the old days. But it’s all about the ever-changing cocktail menu. We went for a Polynesian Swizzle with London Dry Gin, their signature Polynesian cordial, fresh mint, fresh lime juice, ginger beer and homemade Abbozzo bitters that had us harking back to that wild night in Maui. Try Jerry’s take on a Tom Collins: The No. Ten, with London Dry Gin, a DIY syrup of camomile, pink grapefruit and lemon, their own bergamot bitters and soda – it’ll blow you away.

This isn’t a rushed affair. Give these boys time to do their thing while soaking up the vibe, hang out and get educated - they're great storytellers. They also hold concerts, masterclasses and lots of events.
