Before you’re put off by its O2 location – North Greenwich is actually p*ss easy to get to from most places (you can always take the speed boat), so get over it and get your game face ready. This huge venue within the O2 has 12 lanes, a huge bar, a dance area and a restaurant. It feels very Brooklyn in here (you don’t say) with neon lights, plush leather sofas and screens showing the Brooklyn streets.
Sure it’s a little pricey but what do you expect from this place? One game costs £10 per person including shoe hire and larger groups will need to spend a minimum on food too. But minus the large price tag this place is pretty f*cking cool. If there is a large group of you up for a good time you can’t go wrong. Plus there is live music most nights but when there isn’t they stream O2 gigs LIVE – much better watching a show on a leather sofa while bowling than from the nose bleed seats. Plus it’s all service here – they bring the shoes, drinks and food over to you... you’ll feel like bowling royalty.
Food portions are humungous and damn tasty (what do you expect when food is from Manhattan’s Blue Ribbon restaurant?). Drinks - they’ve got Meantime Beer, frozen Margaritas, a long wine list and a serious collection of spirits available for single and double shots if you're here for party time.
Heads up – if you’re a smoker then you might want to invest in some nicotine patches or E cigs cos if you want a smoke you gotta go all the way to the main entrance… now that’s a fag.
