Serving killer Japanese plates and epic cocktails until the early hours, Cottonopolis is a welcome addition to the Manchester bar scene for the hoards of thirsty after-work drinkers.

Krusovice tank beer is shipped in form the Czech Republic and stored in a special tank system, so the beer is as fresh as it gets. The cocktails list is short and sweet, and also plays the Japanese theme – we’ll all over the Sake-Wray night Fever with Umeshu plum sake, pineapple juice & ginger beer. Or if you want to do it proper Japanese style, get stuck into a bottle of Sake, there’s four to choose from.

The food menu is split up into four sections – fire (think grilled and charred), ice (sushi baby), steam (steamin’ bao buns) and oil (we’re talking crisp chicken katsu and lightly battered prawn tempura).
