Quite hard to find, you’ll need to spot the Berlin bear sign above the door to know you're here, then press a green button and wait to be greeted. Once in, you have a choice: either stay classy in the smart darkened West Berlin area, fitted out with velvet and leather chairs, chandeliers and gold mirrors, or go downtown to the East Berlin bunker with its old hospital blankets, camouflage and metal bunk beds.

It's a touch gimmicky but the cocktails are brilliant. Particularly the creamy Der Espresso (Jameson Whisky, Baileys, Amaro Averna, cherry bitters and coffee) and the intensely refreshing Luftwaffen Sour (Tanqueray Gin, violet liqueur, triple sec, lemon and egg white). If you want something a little different go for the Die Ziege, with Scotch whisky, honey liqueur and bitters served with a sesame seed rim and a side of yoghurt to balance out the flavours. Come here for late night fun, secrecy and damn good drinks.
