You can spot this place a mile off with its big black sign and Biggie Smalls mural. Owned by 'English Dave' since 1979, this Little Haiti mainstay is dark, dingy and delightful.

The bar is big, and by night it’s a massive music venue, but early evening it has more of a pub vibe with pool tables, beers 'n shots and a couple of crazy creatures for company. Food has a British influence, so roasts and pies, etc. It’s worth the journey out of South Beach, even if it’s just to watch the footie (Dave shows every game, even if it means getting up at 6am).

The venue may finally be seeing some change, as it's swapping ownership, though we doubt the punky kids seeking refuge from the rest of Miami will move on.
