This boasts the longest bar in India, coming in at 77 feet long, so getting served shouldn’t be a problem (you'd hope anyway). This place stands out from the outset, probably because it’s named after Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar – duuude, but this place is not quite as edgy and cool, it’s a little more swish and swanky like his opulent lifestyle.
Sit outside at the bar and take in the eclectic surroundings: high rises, big billboards, palm trees and stars by night. It's an escape from this crazy city but you can still hear the traffic down below. This place is massive on the inside and out, so bring a big bunch of friends and get stuck in, just leave your shorts and the flip flops at home or you’ll be turned away.
Like most places in India, the cocktails can be pretty touch and go so order with caution, and take time hunting out the good ones. We liked the Watermelon Caprioska and loved the Ginger Snap Martini made with orange vodka, ginger and spices, plus if you go on Sundays for their sundowns the drinks are fractionally cheaper. Either way a beer and a shot may be a better option!
The food’s good and the calamari, delicious, but we say don’t bother with the fancy stuff… the (indian style) pizzas are where it’s at, they are made in an outdoor pizza oven and served on wooden boards. Sit back, relax and enjoy.
