Up there with BarChick’s favourite finds in Mumbai, it is small but perfectly formed, inside and out. There's loud, fun rock music until 1am and more locals (professionals and boozehounds alike) than tourists – which is always a good sign, and feels like you're down with the kids.
There's a real Beetle above the bar with red neon lights instead of wheels and wicked vintage signs everywhere. Plus the walls are covered in number plates from all over the world, which people bring in themselves, so it kinda fits that the waiters in orange dungarees look like mechanics (slash inmates?). If it’s rammed, grab one of these dudes and they will sort you out with a table as soon as one becomes available.
Have the chilli cheese toast (it's so good it had sold out when BarChick returned), drink beer (go local and have a Kingfisher) or stick to the vodka tonic/rum & coke here.
This place doesn't try hard, it feels like the real deal. Sweeeeet.
