This is a beer bar extraordinaire. We couldn’t even make a dent on their list of brews (there are 150 to be fair), coming from every part of the world, from micro distilleries to mainstream ales. It’s like the grand prize at the end of the beer geek trials, and there are plenty of beer geeks in Brooklyn, most of them bearded and sitting at this bar.
Located in Williamsburg, perfectly positioned off the main strip of Bedford madness, this is a long, narrow space, with lots of mahogany and not quite enough seating. Grab the window seats if they’re free - best spots in the house. It’s cute, think retro diner (jukebox included) meets log cabin, with a massive garden out back, a big bonus in this part of town. They serve gourmet cheese and meat snacks too, but if you’re hungry head to Southern style barbecue joint across the road, Fette Sau. It’s owned by the same people, and does for barbecue what this place does for beer.
