The Rum House has all the essentials of a swanky hotel bar. Wood-paneling, glowing candlelight, crimson walls and leather banquettes, tick tick tick. It’s been updated by the guys behind the super-popular Ward III, who have breathed new life into what was a bit of a New York institution. You’ll find a pianist tinkling the ivories nightly, and this is where in-the-know cocktail fans come to escape the hustle and bustle of Times Square. Check to see what live music is on when you visit - there always seems to be something fun happening. Oh, and it's open until 4am. Result. 

Prop yourself at the bar and order a cocktail. Rum rules here, although there are other classics, too. But why wouldn’t you want an expertly crafted daiquiri? Or accompany your Dark & Stormy with a warm salt & mustard pretzel. Now you’re living like a New Yorker.
