Scout is the East London love child of Matt Whiley and Rich Woods, aka The Cocktail Guy. Both these fellas have done some serious shaping of the city's cocktail culture. They're not just about mixing drinks, they're about leading a drinking revolution. Scout championed the no-waste movement before it was the buzzword on the bar scene - kudos. 

The bar started life in Shoreditch, where they earned themselves a well-deserved place on the World's 50 Best Bars list. Now they're in Hackney with the same Scandi-chic vibe. Think minimalist wooden IKEA-style interior and smattering of graffiti-style artwork. The drinks are as minimalist and effective as the decor. At Scout, "waste" is a dirty word. This is as close as you can possibly get to closed-loop, zero-waste cocktails. Everything on the menu is seasonal, foraged or sourced from as close to the bar as possible. Drinks look simple, but looks are deceiving - they're as complex as they are delicious. Chances are you haven't tried cocktails like this before.
