Even though Silverleaf is part of the mega-luxury Pan Pacific hotel, this polished and totally indie bar is a legit destination in its own right - we're talking a hotel bar that isn't a hotel bar. This slick new spot is the brainchild of Chris Tanner and Simo, AKA the two bad-asses behind both of the Milroy's venues, and they've also roped in Liam Broom, former bar manager at Callooh Callay, to bring a wicked sensory bar experience inspired by naturalism and the elements to life. To get it looking buff, they've enlisted the v. cool innovation of Tom Dixon's design agency so expect blackened hot rolled steel, marble, charred timber and salt-glazed hand-crafted British bricks. Raw and sexy.
Milroy's fans will see a few parallels with the whisky meccas of Soho and Spitalfields. Like to sip from your own personal bottle when you're out? You can rent a whisky locker in Alba, the hidden 12-seater bar adjacent to Silverleaf, and keep your own collection there ready for when the mood for a dram strikes. Or if you're down for getting stuck into one of their cocktails (also curated in collab with the Tom Dixon team) at their bar built from a striking split-rock edge face marble stretching the length of the room, you're in for serves that champion just two or three core ingredients. Minimalism is the vibe, but simplicity is anything but the name of the game.
