With its neon glowing doorway, multiple security guards and tourist-friendly location on Bourke Street, you’d think this was another mundane mainstream club. But it’s anything but. Welcome to this bizarre psychedelic safari with a little Copacabana thrown in for good measure.

The crowd is an odd mix, it’s kinda a bar for everyone, so get people watching / exploring as you climb the stairs to their tropical rooftop bar, Palmz. With BBQs in the summer and heaters in the winter, it’s one of Melbourne’s most popular rooftop drinking spots.

They do the usual range of drinks plus some super sweet novelty cocktails (which we say avoid) and the restaurant serves up standard pub style dishes like steaks, burgers and ‘chicken parma’ (Aussie for chicken parmigiana). But you’re here for the atmosphere, weird style and good tunes, so go get ‘em.
