Bartenders
Born and raised in Helsingborg, Sweden. Left there in 2001 to work in London for a while and moved to Copenhagen, Denmark in May 2007 and have been here since.
I am bartender and owner at The Barking Dog. Before that I was managing Oak Room a little neighborhood cocktail bar just around the corner from here, and a short time bar tending at Salon 39.
The ones that welcome me with a smile. Free bar snacks always win a small piece of my heart, if on top of that the bar is clean, has quality drinks and a spot for me at the bar, you got me. Sizes vary and they are all okay, cocktails or no cocktails, that is okay too. And if all you have is bad beer, then at least make sure it is cheap, than that's cool too.
A glass of Mezcal with a beer on the side. When I have cocktails it is usually a Negroni or something Margarita like.
On top, no.
Fatherhood! A baby girl will join me by my side in January. Apart from that there is always a lot of things to do in the bar, and I am looking forward to a great new year with Copenhagen Cocktail Club, we have a lot of new things coming up!
"Skal du med eller hva?!" This annoying guy worked on two girls most of the night, they were to polite to tell him off, and just before leaving he gets close to one of the girls and says a bit too loud "You coming or what!?" turns around and leaves. She follows. The best one I have seen was a mother and her daughter (well in to her 20s) sits on a sofa chatting. They were both good looking, and dressed up for a night out. Before I knew it a sleek guy kind sat down in between them, touching them both and said something like "How you dooin?" and after a short conversation he gets both their numbers, and leaves casually with a nice grin.
As we speak there are truckloads of stolen agaves going from Oaxaca to Jalisco for Tequila production. This is fully illegal and the CRT doesn't do anything about it.
El Commandante 40ml Alipus san Baltazaar 30ml Cocci Veromouth de Torino 2 dashes of Regans Orange Bitters Thow it back and forth between a ice-filled shaker and one empty. Doesn't need to get very cold, just a tiny bit of dilution. Serve in a chilled coupe. (Traditionally we suck it up in a venceia and pour it down in a jicara to airate it, but not everyone has got one, so throwing works fine ;)
4:1 Plymouth Navy & Noilly Prat, Orange Bitters, ice cold and olives on the side.
A member of the motorcycle gang, Hells Angels.
