Booze hounds
I was born in Dundalk, a small city in Ireland. But I have spent almost half my life in Australia.
I work for William Grant and Sons as the Global Brand Ambassador to Monkey Shoulder.
Hmm, this is a really tough one. I would have to say Artesian, Trailer Happiness, Portobello Star, Quo Vadis, Callooh Callay, Cafe Pacifico, London Cocktail Club and Hawksmoor in London. Cienfuegos, Clover Club, PKNY, Bua (across from PDT), Big Star and Alibi in the USA. Also Vintage Cocktail Club in Dublin, YY’s and Bar Constellation in Shanghai. Bar Tram, Bar Trench, High Five and Bar Hiramatsu in Japan. Black Pearl, Eau De Vie, Bowery, The Lark, Shady Pines and a host of other in Australia. Prescription, ECC, Curio Parlor, L’Entree de Artistes, Beef Club and Grazie in Paris. The list goes on...
Isle of Manhattan (the bastard son of the Pina Colada and the Ramos Gin Fizz, created by Cienfuegos NYC).
Kicking a man out of my bar (physically) because he was alone, had ordered a “Jug of Bundy Rum and coke on tap” and the only other people in the bar happened to be two pretty ladies sipping Clover Clubs. I wasn’t going to subject the two girls to him hitting on them for 45 minutes whilst I waited for him to finish his jug.
Yes.
I’m pretty happy where I am right now, not sure?
Best: Anyone being themselves with confidence and style. Worst: People who act like rock stars to pick up but clearly aren’t.
I once appeared on daytime television wearing a Tiki shirt two sizes too big for me tucked into black slacks flaring with a plastic bottle. I've never seen it, it was horrific.
"The Girl Scout" 50 ml Monkey Shoulder 20 ml Noilly Rouge 5 ml Amaro Montenegro Dash peach bitters Stir and strain, garnish with 2 thin slices of peach (dehydrated with powdered sugar into buiscuits) Never made said cocktail, just of the top of my head...
2 to 1 twist of lemon and a drop (tiny drop) of orange bitters.
A bartender, really. That was my master plan.
